Ladies and gentlemen, welcome again to History and Legacy Africa. Today, what I am about to tell you will shake you to your core. Because for the first time, the mask has fallen. The United States, the so-called defender of democracy and freedom, has openly shown the world what they have always been after in Africa. our gold, our uranium, our oil, our blood, our future. This week, a shocking piece of news began circulating across international networks. France 24, West Africa Online, BBC, and other known medias reported this shocking news. Many thought it was a rumor, a fabrication. But we at History and Legacy Africa went deeper. We checked the reports. We traced the sources. We followed what is happening in Burkina Faso now. And what did we find? It is true. Every bit of it. The US has made an official proposal to Burkina Faso and the Sahel nations. Give us access to your mineral resources for the next 30 years and in return we will give you every weapon, military support and intelligence to fight terrorism. Do you hear the arrogance in that? Do you feel the insult? They are basically saying we will create the fire then we will sell you the water and in the end your house will be ours because let us be clear the people of Burkina Faso Niger and Mali already know the truth these terrorists we are fighting who arms them who finances them who trains them weapons don't fall from the sky ammunition doesn't grow on trees satellites that track our soldiers don't operate themselves. It is these very same powers who fuel the chaos. Then return with crocodile tears and say here we will save you. Just sign here and give us your gold mines, your uranium, your oil. It is the oldest trick in the colonial playbook. Reports indicate that the Democratic Republic of Congo has already fallen into the trap. Facing severe terror attacks, its leaders allegedly accepted the deal, signing away three decades of mineral wealth to foreign companies. disguised as partners. But then the proposal reached the desk of Ibrahim Troué. And let me tell you ladies and gentlemen, the captain did not even hesitate. He rejected it firmly, powerfully, decisively. Along with the leaders of the AES, Mali and Niger, he sent a clear message to Washington. Burkina Faso is not for sale. Africa is not for sale. Because Trrowé understands something that many leaders before him refuse to admit. He knows that the terrorism in the Sahel is not an accident. It is a project. It is a project designed and sponsored by the very same people who now pretend to offer solutions. It is a cycle of death for profit. And if we Africans are foolish enough to accept these dirty deals, then we will be digging the graves of our children with our own hands. Think about it. 30 years, a whole generation. Imagine your gold, your uranium, your oil, all being shipped overseas, controlled by US companies, guarded by US interests, while your people continue to live in poverty. Imagine the Burkin Bay child in 2055 asking, "Papa, why are we still poor when our land is so rich?" And the answer being because in 2025, we allowed the Americans to buy our future with weapons. But Tri has said no. The AES has said no. And this no is not just a rejection of one proposal. It is a rejection of 500 years of exploitation. It is a rejection of colonialism, neocolonialism, imperialism, whatever mask it wears. It is a rejection of the idea that Africa must always beg for its own resources. And let me tell you, this rejection has sent shock waves through Washington, through Paris, through London because they thought Trrower would bow. They thought Niger would fold. They thought Mali would crack. They thought that after planting terror in our soil, we would run crying back to them for weapons. But instead, the Sahel has risen with a roar. We will defend ourselves. We will build our own strength. We will not sell our inheritance for your bullets. Brothers and sisters, this is why the story of this US proposal is so important because it reveals the truth about the global game being played on African soil. It shows us that terrorism is not just about men in pickup trucks with guns. It is about contracts signed in aironditioned offices thousands of miles away. It is about the invisible strings that tie our suffering to the profits of multinational corporations. And it shows us that Burkina Faso is standing at a crossroads. One path leads back to slavery, the slavery of contracts, debts, and so-called partnerships that only serve foreign masters. The other path, the one Trrowé has chosen, is the path of sovereignty, sacrifice, and survival. It is the harder path, yes, but it is the only path that leads to true freedom. This is not a new trick.
This is an old colonial script being recycled for the 21st century. A script where chaos is currency and contracts are weapons. The United States along with its Western allies has perfected a dangerous formula. And it goes like this. Create instability. First, you identify a nation sitting on wealth. Gold, oil, uranium, cobalt. Then you fund, arm, or enable forces that create division within that country. Ethnic conflicts are inflamed. Rebel groups suddenly appear. and terrorist cells rise out of nowhere with weapons too advanced for desert bandits. Then blame terrorism and chaos. As soon as violence erupts, the western media machine kicks in. Headlines appear. Terrorists destabilize Africa. They frame the government as weak, the people as desperate, the nation as incapable of managing its own affairs. Then they offer the solution. And here is the kicker. Once the fire is raging, the same hand that lit the match returns with a bucket of water. They say, "We can save you. We will give you weapons, troops, intelligence, aid. All you need to do is give us access to your mines, your ports, your land, your contracts. They make profit from the ashes. The cycle continues for decades. The people stay poor. The leaders stay trapped, the resources keep flowing to the west, and every generation grows up believing chaos is normal, poverty is inevitable, and sovereignty is impossible. Now, look carefully at the Sahel. Does this pattern look familiar? In Mali, terrorist groups began their rise shortly after Western powers intervened in Libya. NATO destroyed Gaddafi's government, scattered weapons across the desert, and suddenly armed groups appeared everywhere. Mali was thrown into chaos. France sent peacekeepers. But while peace never came, French companies secured access to mines and resources. In Niger, the story is the same. Terrorists multiplied, France moved in, uranium kept leaving, and yet the people stayed poor. Today, Niger produces some of the world's most valuable uranium for French nuclear plants, while Nigerian children study under trees without electricity. And in Burkina Faso, we saw the same explosion of terrorist activity just as the people began to resist exploitation. Overnight, heavily armed groups appeared with Toyota pickups, satellite phones, and machine guns more advanced than anything locals had seen before. Who gave them these tools? who guided them with intelligence. Ladies and gentlemen, the fingerprints are clear. The so-called terrorism problem is not homegrown. It is manufactured and it is used as a bargaining chip. Let us not forget the United States did not invent this trick. They inherited it. The French perfected it in Africa. The British perfected it in Asia. The Americans perfected it in Latin America and the Middle East. Look at Iraq. They said Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction. They invaded. No weapons were ever found, but oil contracts were signed and US companies made billions while Iraq was left in ruins. Look at Afghanistan. 20 years of war. Trillions spent, thousands killed. The Taliban was supposedly destroyed, yet it returned stronger than ever. Meanwhile, US defense contractors profited endlessly. Look at Congo. For decades, instability has been fueled by outside interests. Why? Because Congo's cobalt, Colton, and diamonds are too valuable to leave in the hands of Africans. Instead, rebel groups are armed, governments are destabilized, and multinational corporations keep mining under the shadow of war. The Sahel is now the newest theater for this old play. And the US thought they could run the same script again, sponsor chaos, then sell stability in exchange for 30 years of mineral wealth. But here is the difference. The Sahel is not the Sahel of yesterday. In 2023, Traé expelled the French. In 2023, Mali expelled foreign troops. In 2023, Niger shut down military bases that had stood for decades. And together, these three nations formed the Alliance of Sahel States, AES, a union not based on Western approval, but based on African survival. And now, when the Americans came with their playbook, thinking they could trap the AES with the same tricks, they were shocked to find that the leaders of the Sahel had read that playbook cover to cover. They knew every page, every scheme, every trap and they tore it to pieces. That is why Trayore rejected the US proposal outright because he understands something powerful. You cannot put out a fire by hiring the arsonist. And let me tell you this rejection is bigger than just one deal. It is a symbolic earthquake because when one African leader says no, it gives courage to others. It forces the truth into the open. It shows the people that exploitation is not inevitable, that sovereignty is possible and that Africa can survive without kneeling to foreign masters. But make no mistake, this defiance comes at a price. The more Trrowé, Goa, and Chiani resist, the more desperate the West becomes. And desperation makes them dangerous. That is why the AES must stay united. That is why every African must understand what is at stake. Because my brothers and sisters, this is no longer about Burkina Faso alone. This is about Africa itself. If they succeed in buying the Sahel, the rest of the continent will fall like dominoes. But if the Sahel resists, Africa will rise like a storm. And so the question is, what comes next? The question is simple. Why does the West care so much about the Sahel?
Why is France angry? Why is the United States desperate? Why are coups and destabilizations multiplying like wildfire in this region? The answer is not complicated. The Sahel is the treasure map of Africa. The Sahel is the vault of uranium and gold. Let us begin with uranium. Do you know that nearly 70% of France's electricity comes from nuclear plants powered by uranium? And where has that uranium come from for the last 60 years? Niger, yes, tiny Niger, a country where most citizens live in poverty, has been powering Paris, Lion, and Marseilles. French homes are lit while Nigerian villages stay dark. And for decades, Niger was paid scraps for this uranium. Now Niger has said no more. The uranium is no longer leaving on slave terms. France's nuclear plants are shutting down one by one. And without Niger, without the Sahel, the French economy is already shaking. Next, gold. Burkina Faso, Mali and Niger together sit on untold reserves of gold. Not just some. We are talking about hundreds of tons that could rival global giants. But who has been taking that gold? Western companies hiding behind shady contracts, siphoning wealth while the people get crumbs. Trare, Goita, and Chiani have all said, "This gold is ours. It will no longer leave without feeding our people first." Two, the Sahel is the door to Africa's future. Geography matters. The Sahel is the heart of Africa's map. Whoever controls it controls the corridors of trade. It touches West Africa, Central Africa and stretches towards North Africa. Control the Sahel and you control the flow of goods, arms, people and resources. That is why foreign powers fight for it. That is why instability was designed there. But today, for the first time, the Sahel is closing its doors to outsiders and opening them only to Africans. Three, the AES shockwave. The creation of the alliance of Sahel states, AEES, is not just an alliance. It is a revolutionary declaration. Mali, Burkina Faso, and Nijair said something no African block had dared to say in recent decades. We will defend each other. We will trade with each other. We will rise with each other. No longer begging at foreign tables. no longer signing contracts written in Paris or Washington. This is African sovereignty in its rawest, most defiant form. And that is why the West is panicking. Four. Why the US proposal failed. Now we understand why the Americans came crawling with their 30-year mining lease for weapons deal. They thought desperation would drive the Sahel into their arms. They thought the AES would accept crumbs in exchange for survival. But Trrow Ray and his brothers flipped the table. They know the truth. The weapons America offers are not gifts. They are chains. The intelligence America offers is not protection. It is surveillance. The contracts America offers are not deals. They are traps. And so the AES said no. They would rather bleed and fight than kneel and sell their children's future. What we are witnessing in the Sahel is not just politics. It is not just economics. It is not just war. It is a revolution. Think about it. France ruled West Africa for over a century. The US has dominated global politics for decades. They both believed Africa would always bend, always beg, always obey. But in 2025, three young nations stood up and said no. Burkina Faso, Mali and Nijair under Trareore, Goita and Chiani are leading a resistance that could inspire the entire continent. They are rejecting aid that enslaves. They are rejecting contracts that steal. They are rejecting alliances that destabilize. Instead, they are saying, "We will fight. We will train. We will build. And if we must die, we will die free. Make no mistake, the road ahead is dangerous. Terrorist attacks will continue. Cools will be attempted. Sanctions will be applied. Lies will be spread. But none of that can stop an idea whose time has come. And the idea is this. Africa is rising. The Sahel is leading. And the world will never be the same. So when you see the headlines, when you see Burkina Faso rejecting US offers, when you see Niger blocking uranium exports, when you see Mali exposing foreign spies, know this. It is not chaos.
